Screening Plagiarism

SCREENING PLAGIARISM

Journal of Learning Studies is committed to maintaining the integrity, originality, and quality of all manuscripts published in the journal. Every manuscript submitted to the journal will undergo a plagiarism and similarity screening process before entering the peer-review stage.

The journal uses plagiarism detection software, such as Turnitin or other appropriate similarity-checking tools, to identify potential textual overlap, improper citation, duplicate publication, and other forms of academic misconduct.

As a general policy:

1. Manuscripts should demonstrate a high level of originality and must not contain plagiarized material.
2. The overall similarity index is normally expected not to exceed 20%, excluding references, properly quoted material, and unavoidable technical terminology.
3. Manuscripts with a high similarity index may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected by the editorial team.
4. Similarity percentages are not used as the sole criterion for determining plagiarism. Editors will examine the similarity report and evaluate the context, source, and nature of the detected similarities.
5. Authors must appropriately acknowledge and cite all ideas, data, figures, tables, and statements obtained from other sources.
6. Self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, redundant publication, data fabrication, data falsification, and inappropriate manipulation of citations are not permitted.
7. If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified after publication, the journal may issue a correction, retraction, or other appropriate editorial action in accordance with recognized publication ethics standards.

The final decision regarding plagiarism and manuscript originality rests with the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board of Journal of Learning Studies.
